Check Up

Today I had my second check up on our baby and sounds like he or she is doing just fine :o) I am 14 weeks along and feeling much better than I have been, which is great! I'm so excited to say that we get to find out the sex two days after Valentine's day....so will it be pink again, or will we move on to blue??? (Here's also an updated pic of the belly)

Baby #2

Most of you know already, but for those who dont...I'm pregnant with baby #2! I'm about 9 weeks and due mid-July. I had my first ultrasound just yesterday (Thursday) and our baby looks like a little gummy bear! So cute! And it makes me feel a little better that I am sick for a reason!! And speaking of being sick, I do have a cute story I wanted to share...

So today I wasn't feeling well at all and threw up several times. One of the times it came on suddenly and I had to rush to the bathroom and didnt have time to close the door and Alexa came in to see what I was doing...she first started to run away and cry (a fake cry) and said, "I'm so sick too!" Then she stopped, came back into the bathroom with an unwrapped cough drop (she found one earlier and I said she couldn't have it because it was medicine), and she said, "here mommy, have dis". It was so cute!! She was trying to help me feel better. Then she started rubbing my back, as I'm still leaning over the toilet, and she said, "I love you mommy"...
Oh this just melted my heart! Lexi is such a sweet girl and I love her sooo much!!! :o)

Graduation!

So... I just found out that I CAN GRADUATE IN JULY 2011!!!!! YAY!!! I'm so incredibly excited! When Pat and I came back to school in April, I had planned out my classes and thought it would take me until July 2012...but then I figured out that I don't have to take some of the classes that are now required of later catalogue years, so then it changed to December 2011...then just a few weeks ago I emailed my advisor and he said that I don't have to take some more classes, which is absolutely music to my ears! So if I take just 12 credits in the Spring 2011 semester I will have the full 120 credits required and all the classes I need to gradute with my bachelors!!! YA-HOO!!! SOOOOOO ExCiTiNg!! :oD

Halloween 2010

I know it's a few days late but I thought I would put some pictures up from our Halloween. We had so much fun! My neighbor (Jeannie) and I made all our our cosutmes. It took us about a month but we finished them! :o) We got dressed up three times, once for our ward Halloween party, once for the elementary school carnival we took Alexa to, and once for Trick-or-Treating. But we had fun doing it all and I think Lexi liked it too because she is still wanting to dress up in her costume! If you can't tell or need some clarification, we dressed at the Flintstones and the Rubbles. Pat was Fred, I was Wilma, and Lexi was Pebbles. Our neighbors were Barney, Betty, and Bam Bam. We had a ton of fun with it!!!

Idaho State Fair

I forgot to make a quick post about the Idaho State Fair. We went with our nieghbors to the Idaho State Fair September 6th in Blackfoot, ID. It was pretty fun, but we wish we could have stayed longer. Lexi rode two of the rides and loved them! She wanted to go on this Nemo fishing boat but neither Pat nor I could go since it was just for little kids. I wasn't sure she would want to go without mom or dad. I explained that she would have to go all by herself, and she still said she wanted to go. I really thought she would freak out when I put her in and left her by herself, but no, she was TOTALLY fine! SHE LOVED it!! Then she wanted to ride the helicopters and that ride I went with her. She loved both of them! We definitely need to take her to Disneyland or something!! Anyway, besides the rides we saw all sorts of farm animals. We even saw a cow being milked, which I have never seen before! We saw cows, and horses, and mini toy horses (real ones the size of a dog), sheep, goats, and bunnies. Dalyn and Lexi loved it! Oh and Pat finally got his coveted "fried snickers" bar. It wasn't bad but it wasn't exceptionally good, I dont think. But anyway, it was a blast and we had so much fun with our neighbors!!

Summer Break and School

Well last time I posted I left off with our Colorado trip. Since then we have gone to Seaside, Oregon, and school has started up again.
Seaside was sooo fun! To me, the funnest vacation I can remember! Steve, (Pat's dad) drove up from Colorado and picked us up and then continued on our way to Oregon. I wasn't sure how Lexi would do in the car for 12 hours but she did pretty well!! It helped that grandpa was in back entertaining her some of the time :o) It did take us two days to get there but it wasn't to bad of a drive since Pat drove the whole way. I had never met Pat's extended family (on his dad's side) before so it was super fun getting to know them. We spent 4 days in a beach house, literally right next to the ocean. The house was HUGE and amazing! The weather wasn't too bad but I wish it was a little warmer. We had to wear light jackets most days. But we spent the days laying in the sand, going in the water, building sand castles and other usuals at the beach. It was Lexi's second time going to a beach, but last time it was in Texas in November so she didnt get a chance to play in the sand or water very much. She absolutely LOVED the beaach!! She spent most of her time with Pat's cousin, Serena, who is 9 years old. When Lexi said her name it sounded like Freida, so that's what we called her. She helped "Freida" dig sand holes and burry things and just loved, loved, loved it all! We even flew a kite and Lex STILL talks about "flying the kite at the beach". Overall, it was just a nice and relaxing vacation on the beach with Pat's family. Oh and whenever Lexi says her prayers, she ALWAYS says "thank you for "Freida", and may also include "thank you for the beach". That vacation was obviously a huge hit with Lexi!! (And us too!;o)

Also, on September 9th school started again. I'm doing part-time again, so 9 credits. Last semester it worked out pretty well so I thought I'd do it again. This semester I'm taking the preschool lab practicum, which means I'm teaching in the preschool on campus. It is a TON of work but I already love it! I'm also taking another child development class for my major. Half way through the semester I will add another class, which will be a pregnancy class. I'm really looking forward to that class because I've heard many people say it is a really good class, and I'm always interesting in that kind of thing :o)

Pat is taking 13 credits but each of his classes are pretty hard, but I think he will do just fine. He is still deciding whether or not to switch his major to computer science (from business management). If he does we will be here for another 2 years or more, but I think he would enjoy it more and will hopefully find a job he actually WANTS to do once he graduates.

OH! AND... this Tuesday (September 21) Lexi gets to start going to her "Toddler School" on campus. I am sooo excited for her! I know she will have soo much fun! It's just two days a week for a little over an hour but I know she will have a blast!

Here are some pics of our Seaside trip...

Carney Update

I know it's been awhile since I last posted, and a LOT has gone on since then...

1- Lexi had a blast on her "Golden" 2nd birthday. We had her party on her actual birthday, July 2nd, and we went to the splash park in Rexburg with some friends 2- Pat, Alexa and I went to the Tetons with Pat's family over the 4th of July weekend. We had so much fun conoeing, roasting s'mores, and other camping activites!! The highlight of the weekened trip was probably Pat and I falling into a freezing cold lake b/c some stupid speed boaters came zooming by and we got caught in the wake and flipped. And me, not such a good swimmer panicked a little but a nice couple picked us up in their boat. We were not expecting to go swimming that day so we had all our clothes on and all our other clothes were 45 mintues away in the cabin we stayed at. But all in all, it was still fun!

3- Spring 2010 semester ended on July 23rd. I got a 3.8 GPA and Pat did pretty good as well :o)

4- One week after the semester ended, Lexi was telling me, while eating breakfast, she wanted to go see "Ga'ma Kafi" (Grandma Kathi, Pats mom). I told Pat, and he said, OKAY! Let's leave today! ...And we did! We left last Thursday, and have been here since :oD

First night in Colorado, I went to my sister's Bunko group, which is sooo fun! I want to start one in Rexburg if people are interested! We ate dinner, socialized and was able to meet my new nephew, Tristan, for the first time. He is such a cutie!!

Second night, I went to the play, South Pacific, which was really good! And had dinner at the Chop House in Denver beforehand. It was a great night!

Today, we took Alexa to the Zoo for the first time. She had so much fun! I'll try to post pics asap. We were only there for abotu 4 hours and didnt even see the whole zoo, but everyone was pooped by the end of our trip. Lexi rarely falls asleep in her stroller anymore, but she was out for the count before we exited the zoo, and was sawing logs the whole way home!

Ready for the Zoo!

After a long day at the zoo...

And besides all those things, we've visited with family a lot, went to 2 of my favorite places to eat, Chipotle and Noodles and Co., jumped on my sister's trampoline, roasted mallows and had s'mores, went to this place called, Monkey Business, a really cool indoor play place for kids, and a ton more things that make me miss living in a place with CIVILIZATION!!! :o( Only 2 more years of our Rexburg "sentence" and we will be outta there!! YAY!
